SMTP MS Outlook Configuration in Unity Connection

 1. Create voice mail in cisco unity connection by clicking Add New button.

2. Please fill the require fields while creating a new user in Unity connection like below,

3. Once you create a voice mail for a particular user please change password as you like.
4.Created user class of service should have access to IMAP client. It can be done through class of service option,

5. We have to add smart host IP in Cisco unity server. It relays the all voice mail to exchange server.

6. SMTP domain also need to be configured

7. Once we have done the configuration in Unity connection, we can go and configure the Outlook to get Unity voice mail as email,

Please follow the procedures as per the screen shot,

8. Name: you can mention your name. for ex: praba
Email Address: This is your SMTP Address which you can see while creating your user mail box.
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mail server: Unity connection IP address
Outgoing Mail server: Exchange server ip address. This IP address is used to relay your all email messages.
Username: mailbox user name
password: Cisco voice mail web access password:

Note: You may think this password could be your voice mail pin but actually its not.
           If you try to change your password you can see web access password, please use this password otherwise you may get test failed.
